Discus fragment depicting slave with bowl

Date: 1st century AD


Large discus fragment from a lamp, depicting a slave with a decorated bowl. It has been speculated that the slave is preparing an offering.

A rare scene with a particularly interesting genre theme.


Manufacture: Mouldmade
