Large and unusual Hellenistic lamp

Period: Hellenistic

Origin: Eastern Mediterranean

Date: 3rd - 2nd century BC


An exceptionally large example of its type, with a lug on one side and the unusual feature of three small air-vents on the discus.

Manufacture: Wheelmade

Size: L. 9.8 cm

Condition: Ancient chip to right rim.
