Wheelmade Hellenistic lamp from Perga

Period: Hellenistic

Origin: Perga, Asia Minor

Date: 200 - 50 BC


Deep tapered body, rimmed upper surface with large central filling hole and low handle-roll. Long nozzle flattened around wick hole.

Fabric: Pale orange clay with traces of red-brown slip.

Manufacture: Wheelmade

Size: L. 7.5 cm

Condition: Enlarged filling hole.
