Early saucer lamp

Period: Iron Age I

Origin: Palestine

Date: 1200 - 900 BC


Shallow bowl with narrow rim, pinched to form single wick-rest. Convex underside.

Fabric: Coarse reddish clay.

Manufacture: Wheelmade

Size: L. 14.7 cm

Condition: Perfect, with carbon residue on wick-rest.
