Two pink lustreware jugs

Origin: England

Date: mid 19th century


A small cream jug of squat baluster shape with splashed pink lustre decoration, the front bearing a transfer-printed verse; and another jug with hand-painted floral decoration and pink lustre rim.

The verse reads:
Ladies all I pray make free
And tell me how
You like your tea.

(the 'l' and 'e' missing in the last line)
