Description:

On discus: shield mounted on palm tree (or a standard?), flanked by two winged Victories.

Shoulder decorated with series of impressed dots.


Fabric: Orange clay with traces of dark red slip.

Manufacture: Mould made.

Size (cm): L. 11.4, W. 8.7, H. 5.0

Notes:

Comments:
The continuous raised rim surrounding discus and nozzle is a common feature of later African Red Slip lamps and suggests lamps of this type may be a transitional form.
