Description:

On discus: gladiator r., sword in r. hand, l. hand with forefinger raised in gesture of submission.

Fabric: Buff clay with traces of dark red slip.

Manufacture: Mould made.

Size (cm): L. 7.6, W. 5.4, H. 2.0

Notes:
Cf. (subject) Kirsch, 70.

Comments:
Probably a defeated murmillo. He wears a distinctive 'dorsal fin' crested helmet, a manica on the r. arm, a loincloth and belt, and holds a gladius (straight sword).
