Description:
Deep bowl with pinched wick-rest, central cup with small wick-hole. Handle between rim of bowl and rim of cup. Flat base.


Manufacture: Wheel made.

"Crusader" type.


Comments:
Among factors that mark the development of this lamp type are a gradual increase in the size of the wick-rest and a gradual decrease in that of the central cup. While a glazed finish had always been a regional or local option since the type was introduced, it eventually became almost universal.
